Picking Your DJ

We work closely with each couple to provide a unique and personalized wedding experience. After consulting with our available DJs, you will choose who you want to partner with to bring your special day to life.

 

Price is based on your personally chosen DJ and their years of experience. After consulting with our available DJs, you can choose who you want to work with. You will work directly with your chosen DJ to plan your event.

Music / Song Selection

We let our clients have as much, or as little, say in their music as they want to have. After all, it’s your event! For weddings we will ask clients to choose a few “special moment” key songs. We also provide Spotify playlists to aid with any song choices or inspiration.

Song Requests

We hold your friends and family in high regard, treating them as esteemed guests of honor. Our aim is to ensure that your guests feel acknowledged in their requests while striving to uphold the music guidelines you have shared.

 

We acknowledge that certain songs may not be suitable for your event, which is precisely why we encourage the creation of a do-not-play list. We take great care to tailor your event's music uniquely to you and your guests.

DJ Communication

We have a thorough process that includes an initial consultation meeting and at least one creative planning meeting to discuss the timeline, music, and logistical details for your wedding. Once you've completed your online wedding or non-wedding event planner, we'll ensure everything is in order.

 

In your client portal you can simply click the "Schedule A Meeting" button to schedule a call with your DJ via Calendly! We update our Calendly availability on a weekly basis to ensure you can always find a time to meet that fits both of our schedules!

Your DJ = Your MC

Your DJ will also double as your MC! We take pride in our ability to communicate effectively as professional presenters, guiding your guests seamlessly through the different events of your Special Day. Although we are NOT stand-up comedians, we are confident and personable, creating a friendly, welcoming and engaging atmosphere for all in attendance.

 

Our job is to ensure your event is running on time according to your timeline. Our team ensures that the evening runs smoothly by coordinating with your guests and vendors, making certain that everyone is on the same page!

Setup + Gear

Event Team Entertainment has heavily invested in state-of-the-art equipment. Our most commonly booked sound and lighting options include:

  • Dedicated Ceremony Sound System

  • Ceremony Lapel Microphone(s)

  • Dedicated Reception Sound System

  • Reception Wireless Microphone(s)

  • Dance Floor Lighting

 

Extra additions include:

  • Additional Speakers

  • Uplighting

  • Photo Booth

  • Dancing on Clouds

  • Co2 Cryo Cannon

  • Monogram / Projector

We arrive approximately 3 hours before the start of your wedding. This allows enough time to comfortably setup all audio zones (Ceremony, Cocktail, Reception) and sound check them before the first guest arrives. We may arrive even earlier depending on what Extras you have added to your Wedding Package.

Travel

Although we primarily serve the Oregon and Washington State regions, we love to travel!

Events located within 45 minutes of Portland will not incur any travel charges. However, for events that require travel beyond this radius, fuel and lodging expenses may be included in a travel fee. We always make a point, usually during your first consultation meeting, to discuss any travel fees that may apply to your event. 

Date Reservation Fee

To book your event a 50% retainer fee is required. This secures your event day by reserving your date, and only yours, on your DJ's calendar! This will be credited towards your overall balance. Please note that your remaining balance must be settled 30 days prior to your event date.

Payment Methods

In your client portal you will click "Make A Payment" to pay with Venmo, or Credit/Debit card via Stripe. Although these are our preferred payment options, we do also accept checks.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that unexpected situations may arise, and we strive to provide our clients with the same level of service we would expect ourselves. While the initial deposit is non-refundable, we have policies in place that allow for your balance to still be applied to other or future events in the event of an emergency.
