Hello and welcome to Event Team Entertainment! My name is Marc Brooks, Let me share some background information with you. I started my career in the entertainment industry in 2003. I started out as a DJ for local High Schools and Middle Schools. I have also entertained at Birthday Party's, Reunions and many other types of celebrations. I started with Event Team Entertainment in 2006. I wanted to make being a DJ a full time career, but I had no idea how to make that happen. I feel fortunate to have found Event Team Entertainment! There are many DJ services that I could have become a DJ for. I am excited to know that I have joined a team that is truly passionate about what they do and will stop at nothing to make sure that your wedding celebration is a huge success.

Now that you know my background I will share some personal information about me. I was born on June 5th, 1988 in Portland, Oregon. I am currently engaged to my high school sweetheart Cassandra, who I will be marrying on June 25th, 2009. I have 1 dog, a Chihuahua/Pom mix, which has small dog syndrome and will try to pick fights with any animal larger than she is!

I want to share a past story that got me interested in becoming a Professional Mobile DJ. I have witnessed weddings absolutely destroyed by a DJ. There is one wedding that I will never forget... The DJ’s equipment was set up in a way that was very intrusive for the pictures. He started and restarted the Mother/Son dance song 3 times. He would not take requests. He did not keep the guests engaged or informed during the Wedding. While I was dancing with an older guest with bad arthritic knees the DJ had to keep restarting the song and my guest could not finish the dance. We ended up being on the dance floor for 10 minutes during which only 1 minute of the song was actually played. The DJ was telling bad jokes in between trying to get the CD to play through 1 time without skipping or stopping. I will never forget this wedding because it was my brothers wedding.
